I still love to compete, although my competition schedule is restricted due to family commitments.

I am still determined to crack the 50m mark in the discus.

This goal is now also linked to a bet I have with a parent of one of my athletes, who has pledged 1000$ in support of a children's orphanage in Africa, if I can crack the 50m mark.

My personal bests are 48.24m with the discus (1996), and 14.98m in the shot put (1997). I am now training to achieve this goal both for myself and for the children of Cecile Lachat, a relative of mine, who runs an African orphanage in Botswana, a country which has been ravaged by HIV/AIDS, where a staggering 10 per cent of children are orphans! To find out more about the Paolo Zanichelli Children's Home, you can download a brochure here.

The following is a list of my more recent competition performances:

I held my comeback (after focussing on my studies) at the National Masters Championships in Blacktown. I was victorious in the 35-39 age group with a throw of 41.39m.
